Privacy Policy
How Websigntist collects, uses and protects your information — in plain language.
Last updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit https://www.websigntist.com, send us an enquiry, or work with us on a project. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it — without the wall of legal boilerplate that usually hides the important parts.
Websigntist Web Studio is responsible for the information described here. If anything below is unclear, email us at connect@websigntist.com and a person will answer.
2. Information you give us
When you submit our contact form or request a quote, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- The service you're interested in
- Whatever you write in the message field
That's the entire form. We don't ask for anything else, and every field except the message, name and email is optional. If you go on to become a client, we'll also hold the business details needed to deliver and invoice the work.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours loads a few third-party services that collect data on their own. We think you should know exactly which ones:
- Google Analytics 4 — records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is aggregated behavioural data, not a profile with your name on it.
- Google Tag Manager — the container that loads our analytics tags. It doesn't collect data itself.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — runs on our forms to block automated spam. It analyses interaction signals to score whether a submission is human, and is subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms.
- Server logs — our host records IP addresses and request details as a normal part of running and securing a web server.
5. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- Deliver, support and invoice work you've commissioned
- Keep records required for accounting and tax
- Understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site
- Detect and block spam and abuse
We do not add enquiry emails to a marketing list without you asking us to, and we don't send unsolicited newsletters.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply to you, we rely on: your consent when you choose to submit a form; performance of a contract when we're delivering a project you've commissioned; our legitimate interest in securing the site and understanding aggregate traffic; and legal obligation for financial record-keeping.
8. How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are kept for up to 24 months, so we have context if you come back to us, then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention settings.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner — just email connect@websigntist.com.
9. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are transmitted encrypted, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people on our team who need it. Our hosting is kept patched and monitored.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the relevant authority promptly rather than quietly.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Have your data deleted
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email connect@websigntist.com. We'll respond within 30 days, and we won't charge you for it.
11. International transfers
We work with clients worldwide, and our service providers operate globally. Your information may therefore be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and email infrastructure is located. We use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Children's privacy
Our services are aimed at businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Links to other sites
Our portfolio and blog link to websites we don't control, including projects we built for clients. Once you follow one of those links, this policy no longer applies — check the privacy policy of the site you land on.
14. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change, and we'll revise the date at the top when we do. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
15. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about your data, go to connect@websigntist.com. We aim to reply within one working day.
